A large detachment of knights from South Wales paid a memorable Fraternal Visit to the Cathedral City of Hereford in March.

They attended a meeting of Sir Thomas Docwra Preceptory No.376 – at which more than 75 knights in total were present - in a most impressive venue, decorated with specially-commissioned Masonic wallpapers in both blue and red.

Led by the Provincial Prior of Monmouth and South Wales, R.E. Kt. Dr Paul Richard Calderwood, they were greeted by the Provincial Prior of Gloucestershire and Herefordshire, R.E. Kt .Roger Edgar, and the Sub-Prior, E. Kt. Peter Burrows. The distinguished party from South Wales included the Great Prelate, R.E. Kt. Revd Malcolm Lane, and the Past Great Organist, V.E. Kt. Naunton Liles

The spirit of fraternal friendship, which underlined the occasion, was well expressed by the Eminent Preceptor, E.Kt. Malcolm W.D. Jones, who is both “a Brecon Boy” and in the chair of a Herefordshire Preceptory.

Those present at the meeting enjoyed a first-class ceremony conducted by E.Kt. Don Preddy in a most accomplished manner in which Companion Thomas Santillo was admitted in to the Order of the Temple.
